      $17,000 freaking dollars!!!

So many older classic models you can buy for less money

Sure, but how many of them are Bonzo's?

To me, a rad is a dressier watch, sub being more casual much of the time, so a bronze version doesn't make sense to me. Bronze is a dirty metal, along with aluminum, lead, copper, etc. I can see someone's nice white shirt getting bronze patina all over it. Having said that, I have no bronze watches for the reason mentioned.

            I'd generally agree, but-
with Panerai's toolwatch history, and the Rad being the closest design to what the frogmen were strapping on, it never entered my mind that it might be inappropriate.

I second this. That Rad is a more delicate and svelte piece. Bronze does it no justice.

I think it's a great reference and I've put my money where my mouth is.

The dial is something else... It seems to suit bronze whether fresh or patina'd!

love the bronze case, brown dial, and luminous markers that give it a unique vintage-inspired design.

A bronze dress watch with a green dial and blue hands? Strange choice but I’m sure some people love it.
