I know about the '74' strap and the history behind it. I recently saw a strap with '24' on it. Is there a history behind the '24' or just someone placing a random number on a strap? Any information would be helpful. Thanks.

Who knows. I tell people just buy a strap and write a number on it. Save yourself some money
Who knows how many were produced and perhaps each diver was assigned a particular watch with a number on it

Probably someone thought it was a "2" not a "7" and jacked up the strap LOL
