    Carbotech panerai

Have been a long time panerai fan owning many different models over the last 15 years. Had a bit of a break from the brand more recently but have just dived back in with a carbotech 42mm submersible (2231). Just wondering if there are many carbotech owners out there? Loving mine, the lightness of the watch is unreal and love the stealthy look, plus it’s nice having something a bit different.

Really nice piece. A Carbotech is high on the list for for me as a potential new acquisition. Enjoy

Awesome choice! Don't have a Carbontech yet.. however, I do have the medium blue rubber strap for my PAM 973 Subm, that matches the blue accents on the dial. No doubt you'll be getting one?? Be sure and post a pic if you do. That watch would look fantastic with pretty much any colors strap. Green, orange, red, camo.. I think you're doomed to start a strap collection.

Funny you mention it, have. Been looking at the panerai red rubber…a bit out there but think the black and red would go well together. Annoyingly though the carbotech case has drilled lug holes and spring bars…so no quick strap release system. No major drama just have to be careful when changing straps.

Argh…red is the wrong size. There is an orange rubber but not sure that will go as well?

Oh shoot. I didn't think about the case size. Is that a 47? I do know that certain colors are only available in certain sizes. Sorry if I led you astray. I think the orange would look hot!

I have a few Alpha Chrono straps - they are well made, reasonably priced and come with a pin buckle. alphachrono.com

It’s 42mm. Yeah, not sure why panerai restrict colours to certa in sizes. Will have to go to a boutique to see the orange in person…it’s a bit out there! In the meantime found an old Toshi strap I had from my 682 days. Got a black buckle on order to complete the look. Even more comfy on leather

That orange does look good though.

For sure the black looks great. The red strap in the photo is for a 44mm. However, the orange and blue are for the 42 subm. I get that the orange and black combo might be too Halloween like, however it looks great so I don't worry about it. Some straps only come with watches. They have a neon lime green that is really cool. Seeing them in the boutique is best. Getting straps becomes its own addiction...

Halloween strap…that strap is now ruined for me 😆

I love this Pam 799. The combo of the BMG case and carbo bezel is awesome. Do agree that strap changing is not as much fun!
