Is there a forum quirk in commenting on a post? As in commenting on a comment

Someone commented on a post I did, but for someone reason. I can not comment on his reply. I can comment on my post, but it won't make sense as it won't be in the right order

I can created a new post under mine, but again. Won't make any sense as there's no reference for it.
