    Polished Panerai question

I’m interested in a gold 140, all looks fine except there looks to have had the bottom corner of the case polished slightly .
I’m sure in reality it would be barely perceptible but interested to hear peoples thoughts regarding affect on its desirability if I were ever to sell it on- it’s not likely but it’s a considered purchase so I want to make sure I am happy with all aspects .
It would likely pick up marks over time with me using it in anycase .
Other than that it all looks to be correct and full set
Thanks in advance for any thoughts on it

Gold is something that will obtain scratches easily, so I wouldn't be too worried about it. One thing going for Panera is their cases have plenty of meat on them.

I have purchased an unpolished full set Panerai and also a fully polished full set Panerai. I understand the arguments for collecting/buying/owning an unpolished watch but I believe it comes down to personal preference. I bought my unpolished PAM because it was the model I wanted and I loved the "original" look. I bought the polished PAM model because it was exactly what I was looking for at the time and liked the polished look on it. In my opinion, I think too much can be made of the polished/unpolished debate. I buy want I like and try not to get too hung up on what that means for a sale/trade down the road. If unpolished, you can add your own memories to it and the same with polished. If it's a full set and it's the model you want, I say don't dwell on if a small area was polished. Just my 2 cents...

Thank you for your thoughts on it , I am most likely overthinking it a little as it’s not something I want to regret. I’m sure it won’t be long before I’ve scratched the itch!

Realize I'm a staunch fan of the brand so this isn't a knock, but I'm not sure this really matters with Panerai as much as some other brands. Maybe not generally for gold pieces, but I think there's an expectation of use for these things. Part of is, mild scratches happen. Dings and big issues are to be avoided anyway because outside of aesthetic issues, it raises questions about how the piece was handled in the past. Most minor things can be cleaned/Cape Codded away anyway, and I've found things tend to look better IRL than they can in pictures. Cameras pick up every flaw.
